It was incredibly hurtful. I asked Eileen to be my mentor last year. When I ran for President of NYAC she offered a curator payment to run against me so I dropped out of the race. I wanted to be friends with her. I wanted her to come to my art show so I could show her my work. At least she was there in some form.

-Gay Conservative Journalist- Gallery Price: $1750 Bids Start at $250 2018 35x25 Acrylic This painting has evolved over several years. Originally depicting journalist Jon Levine, But the face has been slightly altered to encapsulate the archetype rather than the individual. He is trapped in a literal press box, and each time he writes something that hurts the LGBTQ+ community he makes a mark in his flesh with a paring knife, and every time he writes something that has integrity he makes a mark in the wall with his quill. Will he scratch his way out with integrity? Or, will he drown in blood and ink? God’s blue hand rests on his shoulder as a reminder of his freewill.
-Blizzard- Gallery Price: $4500 Bids start at $400 2019 40x30 Acrylic Commissioned by Twin Cities Pride Magazine for cover This piece was originally intended to be a magazine cover for Twin Cities Pride but unfortunately the magazine did not specify what view they wanted for the image of this intersection and they did not have a positive relationship with the venue depicted so the painting was thrown into the trunk and POTLUCK was painted in 3 days to replace it as the cover for the 2019 Christmas issue. The magazine later shut down during the pandemic.
-Midnight At Marie’s- Gallery Price $7000 Bids start at $1000 2020 40x60 Acrylic This painting depicts Marie's Crisis Piano Bar in the West Village. The viewer of the painting is blackout drunk and belting as the patrons stare in annoyance.
-Men Of Faith- Gallery Price: $1720 Bids start at $250 2024 24x36 Acrylic There is a disgusting tradition of religious leaders, leading lynchings of minorities. This has been going on from thousands of years. From Jesus Christ to modern day America. Pastor Dillon Awes of Stedfast Baptist Church in Watauga, a suburb of Fort Worth said gay people should be "lined up against the wall and shot in the back of the head." I believe the anti-Christ is the christ weaponized by humanity to inflict pain on one another.
Cancer Gallery Price: $1400 Bids start at $100 2025 20x25 Acrylic and Oil A collaboration with Artist Shari Chandler. She created a snowy landscape which I then reinterpreted as my mother being abducted by aliens. A metaphor for cancer taking her from this world. I imagine the comfort of young love and the sweetness of someones affection. But I can only obtain it in small handfuls, and bizarrely passionate hookups with strangers. We are wrapped in ‘God Blue’ blankets.
-The Rainbow Lullaby- Gallery Price: $4100 Bids Start at $1000 2021 30x30 Acrylic The Cover of the worlds first LGBTQ+ lullaby album that I created and sang on with a large team of Broadway stars in memory of my mother. It was shortlisted for a grammy nomination. All proceeds from the album go to the Ali Forney Center in perpetuity.

My mother is depicted as an enormous sunflower being carried ever further away as I sit, exhausted, on my childhood swing-set watching her fly away. Hundreds of ladders fill the painting as a reminder of my attempts to reach her; endlessly throwing ladders at the sky.
-News- Self Portrait- Gallery Price: $280 Bids start at $50 2025 16x15 Acrylic I fled to Mexico when Trump was re-elected knowing that terrible things were ahead for the United States and i didn't want to be caught up in it. This is a self portrait of me in Mexico watching the American news on my iPad as the United States was quickly disassembled resulting in the Fascist, Christian, White Nationalist, Autocracy we currently live under.
-November Garden- Gallery Price $1932 Bids start at $175 2025 23x28 acrylic My mother's kitchen in a dead sunflower field. God wanders aimlessly through the field, ignoring the carnage.
-October Garden- Gallery price $2100 Bids start at $250 2025 24x32 Acrylic My Mother was mostly bedridden the two months before she passed. I imagine her surrounded by dead sunflowers as her life nears its end. Bathed in God's apathy.
-Peter- Gallery Price: $4500 Bids start at $600 2026 40x30 Acrylic An Australian brush fire blossoms into a ferocious storm filled with lightning, depicting Peter Saide. The night he passed I dreamt we spoke in a bright white room in the clouds for hours. The center of the cloud where there is the most light is where I imagine that conversation took place. He passed after a routine back surgery that resulted in a blood clot that caused his death.

They hadn't called or checked in on us the entire time I was home caring for her. They are Maga fascist conservatives and I have not spoken to them since. They were my favourite relatives growing up. I miss them.

The smell of home being obliterated and my childhood ending. Two humming birds representing my dead grandmother's fan the smoke away from my face.

Here she cradles me as a child, while I cradle her in her final days. I am in Sky God Blue- Giving her the care that God should have given her. We are all God- and we are all responsible for each other's care. We cannot ask someone else to do what we ourselves will not.
-The Last Tree- Gallery Price: $1680 Bids start at $300 2025 30x31 Acrylic As the world literally burns I imagine myself as the last tree on a boat out of hell. It is a metaphor for resilience but also commentary about our collapsing society and environment.
-The Rembrandts- Gallery Price: $1280 Bids start at $100 2025 24x24 Acrylic This image depicts a group of friends that abandoned me, and co-workers that harassed me-leading to a deep depression that eventually became self destruction. I am on a sofa being sexually assaulted by two men who drugged me while they watch happily with burnt umbrellas- participants in my assault. Reminiscent of the opening of the television show FRIENDS- which has a theme song by the band The Rembrandts. My pain is their work of art.
-The Sweater Monster- Gallery Price $1456 Bids start at $145 2025 26x28 Acrylic A young man sits at a bar alone getting absolutely black out wasted. He has carved "BECAUSE YOU ARE A MONSTER" into the bar and is wearing sweaters taken from men after countless hook ups. The painting pays homage to VanGoghs "Ugliest" painting in color values, and to Toulouse Lautrec’s alcoholism and art style. So many gay men yearn for love, but seldom do they find anything more than a small moment of physical validation to get them through to the next hookup.
-THIN- Gallery Price $600 Bids start at $100 2025 26x23 Acrylic I have suffered with body dysmorphia since my early teens. Going bald exacerbated my body issues and I am acutely aware of the difference in treatment I receive based on my weight. "Perfect" mannequins stand in the background apathetically watching me struggle to be palatable, to be loved, in Sky God Blue.
-Two Rattles- Gallery Price: $560 Bids start at $75 2025 21x27 Acrylic Time does not exist. Each person is a worm with two rattles. A baby rattle and a death rattle. The grief pit it eventually crawls into is present. Grief will eventually crawl out of the pit to haunt me.
-WAR- Gallery Price $1984 Bids start at $100 2025 32x31 Acrylic The hand trees fight over and apple ripping each other's fingers off in a war over a piece of fruit they claim is theirs. Neither of the trees are apple trees. They grow out of the same soil and the are from the same creator. God stares at the sky ignoring the battle and the pain it is causing. It is commentary on inner conflict, political fights in a two party system and the current wars on our planet.
